Amigurumi Jointed Teddy Bear Villem and Marta: New Amigurumi Crochet Teddy Bear Patterns

Do you like crochet amigurumi teddy bears with vintage inspired elegance with jointed head, legs and hands? I´m so happy to share with you my latest news. I have listed these new amigurumi crochet teddy bear patterns in my shop: two patterns in the the same PDF tutorial.

4-way Jointed Teddy Bear: Teddy Villem

5-way Jointed Teddy Bear: Teddy Marta

They are crocheted in the same way, but differ in head and body and also in a placement of safety toy eyes because Marta bear is fully jointed.

Fully jointed Amigurumi Teddy Marta is made out of DK/worsted Alpaca yarn, ca. 80 gr.
(here Schachenmayr smc, Alpaka Premium)
She has a sophisticated feel that makes it a great crochet bear for adults as well.

Vintage inspired teddy bear patterns are now available for you to crochet a bear or two. They have this classical look which gives the childhood teddy bear effect. Why you should give it a try, will give you some reasons:
a) very little sewing required. Amigurumi Teddy Marta is fully jointed, meaning there´s only ears to be sewn to head.

b) inserting plastic safety joints is easy, because I´ve designed the teddy bear pattern with little holes in a body and in head where to place plastic safety joints (placing joints, joining head to body using safety joints), so everything has made very easy for you

c) you can make very many classical amigurumi teddy bears with this teddy bear pattern. Create your own Teddy Bear as a gift for a child, for a grand child for closed ones or why not to yourself, if you don´t have one. Teddy is a lifetime friend.

And you can customize it to suit any occasion. And you can crochet scarves in various colors to make it even cuter!

New Sets of Hand Painted Safety Eyes

A set of 12mm hand painted safety eyes, round pupil

Hand Painted Safety Eyes for Amigurumi

When you need something extra - personality to your amigurumi toys, here´s some new sets of hand painted safety eyes, I´ve listed to my shop: Tinyamigurumi.  They are all hand painted by me. Most of the eyes are unique, because I mix colors, create some effects or add pearl or golden effect. I´ve painted these gourmet sets for amigurumi makers who are really into handmade things from start to finish. I like to use very fine yarns and crochet hook is also important, not to mention stuffing. Yes, stuffing for amigurumi toys is significant, will come back to that in my next posts.
So, if you are looking for hand painted safety eyes for your own amigurumi creations, you are most welcome to my shop.

Amigurumi Lamb and Purple Storage Basket

Amigurumi Sheep

Lexie Lamb enjoys being photographed. I just felt like taking those photos this weekend, because everybody needs time for themselves and suddenly I discovered myself going trough Buddha quotes and found one for me for this weekend: "your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it."
I designed Amigurumi Sheep Pattern just a year ago and I like it a lot. This crochet toy doesn´t need much yarn and pattern is easy to follow with step by step photos.

And doing handmade gifts. It was a nice request from a 8 year old girl who wanted a purple storage basket for herself because I´ve done several for birthdays and one for her sister as well. It´s just lovely! Purple storage basket almost done. I´m using cotton tube (80% recycled cotton) and pure linen yarn (greenish) to make this storage basket.

It´s October in Estonia and nature is offereing beautiful colors this time of year! Hope to capture that as well :)

Amigurumi Crochet Penguin Pattern: Cara and Milo

Amigurumi Crochet Penguins

Amigurumi Crochet Penguin Pattern is out now. Nice pale pink and baby blue, pink for a girl and blue for a boy or make them both.
It all started in December where a friend of mine ordered two penguins for her daughter. They had to look like baby benguins.  I started designing and this is what came out: here Debbie Bliss Railto DK and Drops Air were used. 2,5mm crochet hook, approx. 22 cm/8,7 inc

First ones, black and white photo

You may want to create different facial expressions by adding little eyebrows or eyelashes or just an eyelid... smaller, bigger, thicker or thinner, with black or brown. I did little surprised look eyebrows for Milo and shy look for Cara, just perfect!

This crochet penguin pattern can also be found on Raverly:

New Amigurumi Sheep Pattern

Crochet Sheep Tutorial: Lexie Lamb + bonus

I´m happy to present my very latest design, my newest amigurumi tutorial

Pattern available here: Amigurumi Sheep Pattern

I wanted to create a sheep which any child would like to have, a real huggable toy, big enough (about 20-25 cm), but still small, who encorages giggles or gives comfort, to share secrets and ideas with, to play merrily. I had this vision with those ideas and got started, already in summer.
I used very fine yarns: Suptuous silk, lovely alpaca, organic cotton and cosy merino
Brands:
a)Austermann Alpaca Silk, Bio - Baumwolle,
b)G-B Wolle, organic cotton,
c)Pure Merino James C. Brett DK
I used 8mm hand painted safety eyes and also 6mm black eyes for the smaller sheep, 2,5mm crochet hook. You can use pure sheep wool for stuffing or any other toy stuffing you like.
Give it a try, it´s a fun pattern!

Boy version with little pants and braces

I also did a boy version, you´ll get it with the same sheep pattern. You can easily change the look by adding a bit of color or a button.

Thank you for stopping by!

Amigurumi Free Seamless Octopus Pattern - DIY Crochet Tutorial - Octopus in one piece, step-by-step

Free Amigurumi Seamless Octupus Pattern

Here you can find my version of an amigurumi octupus.
Little amigurumi octupodes are great for prematurely born babies - they can crab tentacles. A crocheted octopus can also be baby´s first toy to hold and to play with.
It´a known fact that babies like to grab or hold little things in their hands. My son was sleeping better with a ladybug in his both hands to feel secure.

I´m making these tiny amigurumi octopodes for pre-born babies and will share my version with step-by step photos to help you to create these lovely toys for your loved one or try to find a hospital closest to you and donate them for ones in need.

I used Madame Tricote Camilla yarn and 2mm crochet hook, tentacles can´t be longer than 22 cm. My octopus pattern has tenacles max. 14 cm. Diameter is approx. 3 cm. If you use 2,5 or 3mm crochet hook then your octopus will be bigger.

This amigurumi octopus pattern is the ultimate simplification of the real octopus, but I like it in this way. I´ve always liked minimalism, eyes can be added later, little embroidered eyes. This free pattern is seamless - in one piece, that makes it safer for a baby and easier to make.

(these were the first amigurumi octopodes I made)
Octopus
1) Form a magic ring with 6 sc
2) 6 x Inc (12)
3) [1 Inc + 1 sc] all around (18)
4) [1 Inc + 2 sc] all around (24)
5) sc all around (24)
6) [1 Inc + 3 sc] all around (30)
7-9) sc all around (30)
10) [1 Invdec + 3 sc] all around (24)
11) sc all around (24)

(always click on the photo to enlarge)

Now, start to make tentacles, there will be 8 tentacles, octo :)
For that start to make a chain, 30 chain stitches, then

into 2nd stitch from the hook make 1 Inc - 2 single crochet into one, repeat the same all along, you´ll have the curly look

then make 3 sc on head and start to make another tentacle, this time 35 chain stitches.

Make the same sequence all around, 30 ch. st. and 35 ch st and 2 single crochet into every st.

Continue without counting rows (Stuff gradually, I used sheep wool, a natural filling, can be washed as well): 1 single crochet, 2 tog. (Invdec) up to that point you´ll have 6 or 7 stitches left, make 1 slip stitch at the end, cut the yarn leaving a lengh of yarn

Finish off with "neat finish"
Pick up stitches left one by one with the yarn needle and pull them together to have a neat and proper finish.

well done, your little octopus is ready :)

PS! You might want to embroider eyes on your amigurumi octopus.

and a special edition: two more rows added to head and tentacles are a bit different.

and all together:

ENJOY!
